A researcher and development practitioner since 1999, Dr. Das has till date authored over 60 research, monitoring and evaluation reports, academic articles and other publications on child rights, women’s empowerment, health, sustainable livelihood, social inclusion, governance and other issues of contemporary social relevance. He currently heads Human Development Society (HDS), a non-profit development organization engaged in community development and multi-disciplinary research. His past and present key engagements as an individual consultant include Senior Policy Consultant, UNICEF India (2018-2021); Inclusive Social Policy Consultant (on roster), UNICEF India (2018-2022); Senior Research Fellow, Policy Perspectives Foundation (2016 onwards); International Consultant, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Vienna (2015); and National Consultant (India), UNODC, New Delhi (2014). Dr. Das is a Post-Graduate in Political Science from University of Delhi and a Doctorate in African Studies from the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi.
